Kokoroko is a London collective whose music draws on jazz, Afrobeat, highlife and soul. The group gained international attention with its 2019 single “Abusey Junction,” a warmly layered instrumental that introduced many listeners to its distinctive blend of horns, percussion and groove. Its 2022 debut album, Could We Be More, expanded that sound with vocal and instrumental tracks, including “Tojo” and “Something's Going On.”
The July 23 appearance is part of a lineup featuring Leon Bridges. The pairing brings together Kokoroko's ensemble-driven arrangements and Bridges' modern soul, offering a varied evening for fans of jazz, blues and R&B. Columbia's location between Baltimore and Washington, D.C., makes the pavilion a destination for concertgoers from across central Maryland and the wider region.
Merriweather Post Pavilion is an outdoor amphitheater in Columbia's Symphony Woods. Its open-air setting and mix of reserved seating and lawn viewing provide different ways to experience a concert. Check the event's current seating map before purchasing, as available sections and configurations can vary by performance.
Reserved seats closer to the stage are often a strong choice for a clear view of the performers, while the lawn offers a more relaxed, open-air experience. Lawn sightlines can depend on crowd size and where you settle, so arriving early may help you choose a comfortable spot.
Parking arrangements and fees can vary by event. Review the venue's event-day guidance and your ticket details in advance, and allow extra time for traffic around the pavilion before the show.
Prices currently start around $40–$150 for this concert, with the final amount depending on ticket location, availability and fees. Prices may change as the event approaches.
